Hello wonderful humans!
Thanks for your support and your trust in the two previous festivals of Free and Real and we wait to welcome you to the 3rd Spiral Knights Eco-Fest 2018!
We hope you enjoy with us these six days, as much as we will enjoy this period of more than 2 months
preparing this festival, with the international crew of knights from every corner of the earth!
We want this festival to be a co-creation, together we will make it even more beautiful so that every
year it will grow and connect more dots from every corner of the earth, leading to a more sustainable
world.
We are all co-responsible for the safety of the area, cleanliness, safety of all those involved, fire
safety, but also to create, have fun and take care for the sustainability and efficiency of this festival.
In the area of the festival, there are four main stages/areas that have been developed plus many
smaller ones were all the events would be taking place. There will be a detailed map on site and many
people ready to help you and solve your queries.
Main Stage, Central Dome, Platanus, Open Space, Chill Out Area, Kids Area are some of the names
of the spaces. In the “Open Space” Area for those of you who want to present something there are
some empty slots available. Please let us know when you arrive so we can add it to the schedule on time.
Those who want to participate in the Open Space should be noted from the previous day at the info
stand in order to find the right time and to announce the program of the next day on time.
The program will be posted there and fully detailed, and you can also print it from here (will be soon available).
Cars are not allowed on the festival grounds.
The cars are parked in the parking space where it will be clearly evident upon arrival at Telethrion which
is located only 10 meters from your first stop in the “INFO Stand”. With your arrival in the area of the
festival you should contact the “info stand”, first to record the arrival and secondly to obtain your FR TOKENS for your transactions inside the festival area and to head to the camping area to set up your tent. Whether it is food, drink, products or massage sessions, money will not be exchanged! All transactions will be made only with the Spiral Knights TOKENS.
In the Central Dome and the Big Yurt there would be every day a program of workshops and seminars
with a small suggested price of participation for the teachers. Because space is limited you should declare participation from the previous day and if there is space available to participate.
We suggest that you should arrive during the day on Tuesday, because the schedule starts early on Wednesday morning September 5th, you can opt for whatever your interest on workshops is , for the 6 following days. You can also spend the night on Monday, but please the area must be evacuated by
Tuesday afternoon!
All other workshops, seminars, talks, lectures, presentations and off course the music in the other areas
are free.
In the area of the festival 6 wooden hexagon houses grow with food at very reasonable prices and
multiple options, also there will be smoothie bar, fair trade coffee, raw food desserts and the evening
will be served vegan burger, falafels and more!
No need to bring drinks and food with you, we have everything!
Smoking is allowed only in the two big (shaded) designated areas with visible signs «Smoking Area» and nowhere else! Please respect the rule and all together we will protect the mountain from garbage and possible fire as well as those around us who may not enjoy smoking as we do.
Bathrooms:
In our premises there are 12 compost (dry) toilets, with which we can manage organic waste in a
productive manner, creating compost fertilizer of the best quality and minimizing human waste and
garbage. Please follow closely the instructions given to you by your arrival, those concerning our
compost toilets (there are placarded instructions inside the toilets) and you should leave them when
you go out, in the same condition you found them when you entered ! It is important!
Also 8 showers are available inside the camping area
What to bring with you.
First of all your tent. If you booked for one person a good idea is to bring a small tent because space is
not infinite.. Sleep essentials, sleeping bag, a good substrate, sheet, pillow, etc., unless you have a good
sleeping bag you can bring a small blanket, it gets cold at the evening on the mountain, a flashlight/torch is absolutely necessary ,a hat, clothes that you may need and closed shoes, as we said in the evening it gets chilly , swimwear for those who go to the sea or to the natural springs or our new lake, towel and only organic natural toiletries (soap, shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste). If you do not have you can be provided from us, but it is never enough.
A soup spoon and a plate and glass will help us reduce the amount of waste produced. If you cannot bring one we supply one with a small fee that you will get back when you return the equipment. And don’t forget to bring your Good mood!!!
Instructions for the journey:

The only point to be careful is before Strofylia where you have to go left to Limni , otherwise if you go
straight it is extra 30 km .. generally follow signs after Halkida for Saint David and then to Edipsos.
Otherwise alternative but much more expensive, come from Athens-Lamia and at the 151 km is Arkitsa
where you get a ferry and pass to Edipsos. After you come to Agios as you can see in the previous map,
where our village is.
Entering Agios after half a kilometer from a stone bridge , turn right (to your left you will see a
pharmacy) and follow some white boards that indicate “CAMP” (ΚΑΤΑΣΚΗΝΩΣΗ) leading you to the
area of the parking where you would leave your car. Simply follow the signs that say Telaithrion!
You who come from the north should reach Glyfa (60 km after Volos, signpost (Ferries Glyfa)) and from
there take the ferry to Agiokampos. From there you go to the main road and turn right to Agios. Same
instructions as above to find the site, just that since you enter from the other entrance to the village
when you would see the pharmacy it would be on the right and you have to turn left to go up to
Telethrion.
Check the ferry schedules because this season they are not that many as in the summer.
