1 to 6 of September 2020 will be the fourth year of the Spiral Knights Eco-Festival, continuing on the amazing work that has been done the 3 previous years, establishing even stronger, lasting relations with the local community, other NGOs, in-formal teams, sustainable business and companies, facilitators and all participators and volunteers and also continuing the spreading of the message for a more sustainable and with respect, equality, awareness and learning.

“After careful consideration and after organizing 3 successful Spiral Knights Eco-Festivals in a row, we decided to take one year hiatus and focus more in the further infrastructure development of the Telaithrion Project’s land.
It was not easy making this decision, but considering all the different options and data we had at hand, we will be coming back for the 4th Spiral Knights Eco-Fest on September of 2020, celebrating our 10 year anniversary since starting the project here in Evia Island, back on September of 2010!
So stay tuned for further updates and news and promise this long wait for the next Free and Real festival to have a magnificent payoff!

Spiral Knights Eco-Fest is an educational event and open call for people from all over Greece and the world to celebrate and appreciate sustainability in all its aspects and forms. The festival takes place at the foothills of the Telethrion mount of Evia island at 480 meters height, in central Greece.
The duration of the festival this year is 6 days, it has the capacity of hosting around 350 campers and hundreds more visitors that can pass through the festival grounds every day with no cost. It’s an event that is being created from the ground up, every summer and it is totally off-grid. Low impact technologies and renewable energy resources are being used for its operation.
Its educational character comes through by more than 300 seminars, practical workshops, presentations and talks of the following categories: 1) Natural environment and community living, 2) Education: Raising awareness around our environmental challenges and Eco design tools, appropriate present and future technologies, 3) Health: Nutrition, mental-body physical activities and well-being, 4) Celebration of cultures merging with sustainability.
The main activities include:
- Workshops: Permaculture and Natural Farming, Natural and ecological building, Sustainability, Nutrition, Cooking and Self-Sufficiency, Tai Chi, Yoga, Thai Massage, Sound Therapy, Non-Violent communication, Acrobatics, Capoeira, Acro Yoga, Qigong, Theatrical Games, Percussions and Rhythm, Renewable Energy (DIY) Technologies, Cooperative Games, Calisthenics, Reflexology, Shiatsu.
- Talks: Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science, Resource Based Economy, Communal Living, Team Building, Syntropic Agriculture Models, Nutrition and Wellbeing, Astrophysics, Natural Birth and Women Health,
- Presentations: Local sustainability teams from Evia Island, Greece and Europe, European formal and non-formal teams and NGO’s, alternative education groups, protection of animals and solidarity initiatives, social businesses and cooperatives, social media initiatives.

Some info for the Telaithrion Project
The «Telaithrion Project» hopes to put in actual perspective, that a self sufficient sustainable society that is based on true incentives and selfless giving, can exist, and that can be applied to practice in everyday life, and that even if the entire culture of humanity adopted it could flourish. We would like to share all the practical knowledge, the information, the technologies and at the end the solutions that we may discover, research and apply to this journey of ours. We will do all we can to animate, empower, educate and inspire all people we meet so they will be able to follow their own path towards a more possible, more balanced coexistence of races and species on the planet.
We want to learn from our mistakes, to evolve the way we communicate with our fellow men, to re-establish our self’s by re-establishing our environments and our needs and at the end to act on the research and knowledge of mankind to the areas of health, technology, energy, education, farming, social structure, entertainment and empathy. To embrace diversity and uniqueness and become better than our own self’s, accepting the daily feedback as food for thought and conscious harmonious creative and productive communication. We want to live with the lowest possible ecological footprint and simultaneously with the greatest possible freedom in education (information) and creative living.
We want a world of peace and freedom, with technological development that operates as an extension of human potential, a world that will strategically and consciously will manage with balance the natural recourses, were a reality of a society of healthy living conditions and full of open minded people can be possible, free spirit and real incentives, away for any kind of isolations, artificial barriers, technology driven by planned obsolescence and pointless, without real and creating motives, labor.
