MAZI FARM. A REGENERATIVE AGROFORESTRY FARM. All around us, destructive agricultural practices are turning forests into deserts. As trees have been felled, land overgrazed, burned repetitively and the soil cut open by plowing, chemically treated, planted with monocultures and heavily irrigated, humans have created degraded drylands. The Mediterranean basin is the epitamy of this crisis. Not long ago, a lush and wooded environment, the mistreatment of many civilizations created the dry landscape we know today. We believe it does not have to be this way. Farming, in the great part responsible for the challenge of desertification, is also its solution. By adopting a smarter approach to agriculture, our agroforestry farm can restore our degraded ecosystems while producing nutritious food.

KROUSI The team was created in the winter of 2010-2011 with Niko (aka tourbis) as a teacher and their first summer found them on the beach in Thessaloniki on the lawns and wherever it was possible to perform. Walking rhythmically towards the second winter of existence, the group needed a home. As soon as they found it, they saw that others could fit in. Because, finally, we are many, those who want a free space of learning, creating individual and group expression, entertainment and entertainment. Vila Flora Living in a humane society is our mission. We begin with ourselves, creating a place based on the philosophy of active nonviolence. Vila Flora is a communal space and interactive home. People can stay, organize events, and offer their own unique contributions and perspectives on the development and health of society. We aim to use the energy of the sun, water, compost, plants and fermentation to run the Vila. Our purpose is to create an atmosphere where people learn to live in balance with themselves, each other, and the environment. We educate ourselves in self-sufficiency based on personal development in order to create an inclusive community that ensures the well being of each member. Vila Flora is a place where we apply our philosophy of active nonviolence on a practical level. (F)orest School is an alternative education project that focuses on teaching kids with non-formal education techniques, mostly with hands on experience inside nature. Joining festivals and other events they create a specially created kids area that will keep your kids busy and amused. Kids will have the opportunity to enjoy themselves through a variety of activities, always under the supervision of experienced and properly educated tutors. Some of those activities include: activities in nature, games and constructions using natural materials, music kinetics’ trekking for kids between 3 and 11 years old (as well as for those of us who are still in touch with the kid inside). 

Stagones were established a few years ago by a group of individuals who were seeking a different way of life. We live in two properties on the Greek island of Evia, experimenting with the notion of “living lightly on earth”. Our main occupation is Natural Building, ie the design and construction of eco-friendly, handmade buildings and smaller scale constructions such us earth ovens, benches, fireplaces, kiosks etc. Furthermore, we renovate existing structures and build extensions. In addition, we run Natural Building workshops, for people who wish to learn through practical experience. Then again, “Stagones” is not only about Natural Building. We also get engaged with a number of different things such as the collection of wild herbs, hosting of workshops, farming, exchange of traditional seeds. Moreover, we like to share our experiences and we offer the opportunity to people to come and participate in our everyday activities on a volunteer base. We believe that in order to make our world better, we need to be active within our society and be involved in the local community. Dogs’ Voice is a nonprofit organization that aims to be the interactive platform through which animal-friendly organizations operating throughout Greece can get organized and reliable volunteers and financial support for their actions, showcase their work and to promote dogs that take care of responsible adoptions. Also, Dogs’ Voice started the implementation of the Greece Without Fat program in 2017 with the aim of significantly improving the issue of stray animals at local government level and introducing a new curd in Greece with regard to animals and their rights. SEYN is a platform of and for young people interacting and collaborating, exchanging experiences, information, best practice, know how, learning and educating, finding experts and partners, connecting with other young people in order to realise their projects at a community level, create jobs and functioning links between them beyond borders and other physical limitations. Through training, mentoring, knowledge sharing, project development and a variety of tools and practices SEYN will bridge the gap between society, active citizen participation and ownership, community organisers and engineers, young students and professionals while reviving the cooperative spirit and values through project development in Europe and beyond.
